Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "you", or "your") and Ravan Technologies Private Limited, trading as Ravan.ai and operating the Agni voice AI platform ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), with its registered place of business in New Delhi, India.
By creating an account, accessing the Agni platform at app.ravan.ai, using any API endpoint, or making any payment for a subscription plan, you agree to be fully bound by these Terms. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the platform.
Important: These Terms include provisions on limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
Description of Services
Agni is a real-time voice AI platform built for Indian enterprises. The platform provides:
- AI-powered voice agents capable of conducting inbound and outbound telephone calls in Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam, and Indian English
- Natural language understanding and generation with sub-300ms response latency
- Emotion-aware voice synthesis using the Thunder Emotion model
- Outbound campaign management including CSV-based contact lists, scheduling, and retry logic
- IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and press-digit flow builder
- Static and dynamic call transfer to human agents
- Post-call analytics including transcription, call summaries, and sentiment analysis
- Agent memory and cross-call context retention
- REST API access (Scale plan and above) for custom integrations
- Pre-built integrations with GoHighLevel, Cal.com, Twilio, and other third-party services
- Compliance infrastructure for DPDP Act 2023, RBI guidelines, and TRAI DND regulations
Services are provided on a subscription basis with additional per-minute usage charges as described in Section 4 and 5. The Company reserves the right to modify, enhance, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
Eligibility & Account Registration
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under applicable Indian law to use the platform. The platform is intended for business use by registered companies, LLPs, proprietorships, or individual professionals. Consumer use is not the intended purpose of this platform.
Account Registration
- You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately at info@ravan.ai of any unauthorised access to your account
- You may not share login credentials with persons outside your organisation
- You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or free trial restrictions
- The Company may verify your business identity and reserves the right to reject or suspend accounts that do not meet our verification criteria
Team Members
You are responsible for all actions taken under your account by any user you have added. You must ensure all team members are made aware of and comply with these Terms.

All prices are exclusive of 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST). GST is charged additionally at the applicable rate as required by Indian law.
Billing Cycle
- Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance on the date of first subscription
- Per-minute usage charges are billed monthly in arrears based on actual usage during the billing period
- Invoices are issued electronically to the registered email address
- GST invoices are provided for business customers with valid GSTIN upon request
Payment Methods
We accept payments via credit/debit cards, UPI, and NEFT/RTGS bank transfers. For Enterprise plans, invoicing with 30-day payment terms may be available.
Failed Payments
If payment fails, we will attempt to re-charge on days 3 and 7. If payment remains outstanding after 7 days, your account may be suspended. Account reinstatement is subject to full payment of outstanding dues.
Upgrades and Downgrades
You may upgrade your plan at any time, with the new rate taking effect immediately (pro-rated for the remainder of the billing cycle). Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Downgrading may result in the loss of access to features not available on your new plan.
Per-Minute Usage Fees
Agni's per-minute rate covers AI processing: speech-to-text (STT), large language model (LLM) inference, text-to-speech (TTS) with the Thunder Emotion engine, and platform infrastructure. It is an all-in rate — there is no separate billing for STT, LLM, or TTS components.
Telephony charges are separate. The actual phone call (PSTN connection via Twilio, Airtel, or your own SIP trunk) is billed directly by your telephony provider and is not included in Agni's per-minute rate. See the pricing page for typical Twilio India rates.
- Usage is measured in seconds and rounded up to the nearest second per call leg
- Abandoned calls shorter than 3 seconds are not charged
- Failed connection attempts are not charged
- Usage during the free trial period is not charged up to the trial limits
- Monthly usage reports are available in your account dashboard
Free Trial
New accounts receive access to a free trial that includes 5 test calls per day via the on-site demo widget (no signup required for demo), plus access to the platform dashboard. Full plan features are available during a paid trial period.
- Free trial access does not require a credit card
- Usage during the free trial is limited to the advertised limits; overages are not permitted
- The Company may modify or discontinue free trial availability at any time
- Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free trial access is prohibited and may result in permanent suspension
- Data created during the free trial is retained for 30 days after trial expiry; you may export it before then
Acceptable Use Policy
You may use the Agni platform for lawful business communication purposes including outbound sales, customer support, debt collection (within RBI guidelines), appointment booking, lead qualification, and customer engagement. You agree to:
- Use the platform only for purposes that are legal under Indian law and the laws applicable to your customers
- Obtain all necessary consent from call recipients before making AI-assisted calls
- Clearly disclose that the caller is an AI agent when directly asked by the recipient
- Maintain and honour do-not-call (DNC) and opt-out lists
- Comply with TRAI's Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR)
- Respect DPDP Act 2023 consent requirements for personal data processing
- Make calls only during permissible hours (9:00 AM to 9:00 PM IST for commercial communications, unless stricter limits apply)
- Keep all caller identification (CLI) accurate and not use spoofed numbers
Prohibited Uses
The following uses are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension without refund:
- Using the platform to make fraudulent, harassing, threatening, or deceptive calls
- Impersonating government officials, law enforcement, banks, or regulated entities without proper authorisation
- Using the platform for unsolicited spam calls or robocalling in violation of TRAI regulations
- Processing, transmitting, or storing sensitive personal data (Aadhaar numbers, bank account numbers, passwords) through voice interactions without explicit consent and appropriate security measures
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of any part of the platform
- Attempting to circumvent rate limits, security controls, or plan restrictions
- Reselling or white-labelling the platform without an express written reseller agreement
- Using the platform to train, benchmark, or evaluate competing AI systems
- Using the platform for political campaigning without full compliance with the Model Code of Conduct and applicable election laws
- Any use that violates the IT Act 2000, IPC, or any other applicable law
Telephony & TRAI Compliance
As a user of voice AI technology for commercial communications in India, you are responsible for compliance with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (TRAI) regulations, including:
- TCCCPR 2018: Registration as a Principal Entity (PE) and Template/Header registration on the DLT platform for transactional, promotional, and service communications
- DND Compliance: Scrubbing contact lists against the National Do Not Disturb (NDND) registry before making outbound calls
- CLI Integrity: Using only registered, authorised CLI numbers for outbound calls
- Call Time Restrictions: Restricting commercial calls to 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM IST unless the recipient has explicitly consented to communications outside these hours
- Opt-Out Honouring: Implementing functional opt-out mechanisms and honouring them within 24 hours
Agni provides tools to assist with compliance (call window enforcement, opt-out management, DNC list integration), but ultimate regulatory responsibility remains with you as the calling party.
Note: Agni's compliance tools are assistive, not determinative. You must independently verify your compliance obligations with qualified legal counsel for your specific use case and industry sector.
DPDP Act 2023 & Data Protection
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 ("DPDP Act") applies to the processing of personal data of Indian citizens. As a user of the Agni platform:
Your Role as Data Fiduciary
When you use Agni to make calls to your customers (data principals), you act as the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act. You are responsible for:
- Obtaining free, informed, specific, and unambiguous consent from data principals before processing their personal data through voice AI
- Providing clear notice of data collection and its purpose
- Maintaining records of consent obtained
- Honouring requests for data access, correction, and erasure from data principals
- Retaining personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose
- Implementing appropriate security safeguards
Our Role as Data Processor
Ravan.ai acts as a Data Processor on your behalf. We process personal data (call audio, transcripts, metadata) only to provide the contracted services and do not use your customers' personal data for any other purpose. All data is stored on India-hosted servers.

RBI & BFSI Guidelines
For customers in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector, including NBFCs, banks, microfinance institutions, and insurance companies:
- Fair Practice Code: Your use of Agni for collections must comply with the RBI's Fair Practices Code for NBFCs and the collections guidelines for regulated entities
- Recovery Agent Standards: AI agents used for debt collections must adhere to RBI's guidelines on recovery agents, including prohibition of harassment, threats, and calls outside prescribed hours
- Recording Retention: RBI-regulated entities must retain call recordings for a minimum of 2 years. Agni's Enterprise plan includes 2-year recording retention. If you are on a lower plan, you are responsible for downloading and storing recordings within your own systems
- KYC and Data Security: You must ensure that no Aadhaar, PAN, or other sensitive KYC data is transmitted through voice channels in violation of applicable data localisation and security norms
The Company provides compliance-assistance features but does not guarantee that use of the platform will result in compliance with all applicable BFSI regulations. You should consult your compliance officer and legal counsel.
Intellectual Property
Our IP
The Agni platform, including its software, algorithms, AI models (including Thunder Emotion), user interface, documentation, brand assets, and all associated intellectual property, is owned exclusively by Ravan Technologies Private Limited. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the platform solely for your internal business purposes during your subscription period.
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the platform, including knowledge base documents, call scripts, and contact data ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited, royalty-free licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the contracted services.
Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the platform, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use that feedback without any obligation to you.
Restrictions
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the platform
- You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without prior written permission
- You may not scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform
API Access & Third-Party Integrations
REST API access is available from the Scale plan (₹12,999/mo) and above. API usage is subject to rate limits specified in your plan documentation at docs.ravan.ai.
- You must keep your API keys confidential and must not embed them in client-side code
- You are responsible for all API usage under your keys
- Automated abuse, DDoS-style load, or attempts to exceed documented rate limits will result in key suspension
- API access may be rate-limited, throttled, or temporarily suspended to protect platform stability
Third-Party Integrations
The platform integrates with third-party services including Twilio (telephony), GoHighLevel (CRM), Cal.com (scheduling), and LiveKit (WebRTC). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. The Company is not responsible for downtime, data handling, or compliance failures by third-party providers.
Service Availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the core platform. Scheduled maintenance is communicated at least 48 hours in advance via email and our status page.
- SLA guarantees with uptime credits are available on Enterprise plans only
- Starter, Growth, and Scale plans receive best-effort availability without SLA-backed uptime credits
- Uptime calculations exclude: scheduled maintenance windows, force majeure events, issues caused by your configurations or third-party providers
- Enterprise SLA credits are the exclusive remedy for downtime; they do not entitle you to a cash refund
Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, the Agni platform and all related services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Ravan Technologies Private Limited expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement
- Warranties that the platform will meet your specific business requirements
- Warranties that the platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or quality of any information or content obtained through the platform
- Warranties that defects in the platform will be corrected
Limitation of Damages
- We are not responsible for business outcomes resulting from AI agent conversations, including lost sales, customer churn, missed collections, or regulatory action
- Our aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the three calendar months immediately preceding the claim
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or cost of substitute services — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages
- We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to comply with TRAI, DPDP Act, RBI, or other applicable regulations
- We are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party providers including Twilio, LiveKit, GoHighLevel, or any other integration partner
The limitations in this section reflect a fair allocation of risk between the parties and are a fundamental element of the basis of the bargain between you and Ravan Technologies Private Limited. Without these limitations, we would not be able to provide the platform at the prices offered.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability; in such cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ravan Technologies Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and successors from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of the platform in violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation, including TRAI, DPDP Act, RBI guidelines, or the IT Act 2000
- Your Content or the content of calls made through the platform
- Any claim by a third party (including your customers) arising from your use of the platform
- Any misrepresentation made by you in connection with the platform
Termination
Termination by You
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by emailing info@ravan.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days of the current month. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice and without refund, if:
- You breach these Terms, particularly the Prohibited Uses or Acceptable Use Policy
- We receive a valid legal order requiring suspension or termination
- Your usage creates material risk of harm to the platform, other users, or third parties
- Payment remains outstanding for more than 14 days after the due date
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked. Your data (call recordings, transcripts, agent configurations) will be retained for 30 days, during which you may request an export. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted from our systems unless legal retention obligations require otherwise.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi, India.
Dispute Resolution Process
- Informal Resolution: You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at info@ravan.ai. We will make a good faith effort to resolve it within 30 days.
- Mediation: If informal resolution fails, both parties agree to attempt mediation before initiating formal legal proceedings.
- Litigation: If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by courts of competent jurisdiction in New Delhi.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email to your registered address and a prominent notice on the platform. For non-material changes (corrections, clarifications), we may update without prior notice.
Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the platform before the effective date.
We review these Terms at minimum every 15 days. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review checkpoint.
Force Majeure
Ravan Technologies Private Limited shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these Terms to the extent such failure or delay is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, earthquakes, floods, fires, storms, or epidemics/pandemics
- Acts of government, government-imposed restrictions, war, civil unrest, terrorist attacks, or national emergencies declared by competent authorities
- Internet or telecommunications infrastructure failures, including failures by upstream providers, ISPs, DNS providers, or cloud infrastructure operators
- Cyberattacks, DDoS attacks, or malicious interference by third parties despite reasonable security measures
- Labour disputes, strikes, or industrial actions not involving our own employees
- Regulatory orders requiring suspension or modification of the service
In such events, our obligations are suspended for the duration of the force majeure event. We will notify you of the event and its expected duration as soon as reasonably practicable. If a force majeure event continues for more than 30 consecutive days, either party may terminate the affected subscription without penalty, and a pro-rata refund of prepaid unused subscription fees will be issued.
AI Output Disclaimer
The Agni platform generates AI-driven voice conversations, transcripts, summaries, sentiment scores, and analytics outputs. You expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or appropriate for any specific purpose. AI-generated responses may contain errors, omissions, hallucinations, or contextually inappropriate content.
- AI agents are not licensed professionals. No output from an Agni AI agent constitutes legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, or any other form of regulated professional advice. You must not represent AI outputs as such to your customers.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing and supervising the content and conduct of your AI agents. We strongly recommend human oversight of AI agent scripts, knowledge bases, and live conversations in regulated or high-stakes contexts.
- Language and accent accuracy: While Agni is optimised for Indian languages and accents, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy across all dialects, regional variations, or in noisy acoustic environments.
- Misuse risk: If your AI agent's script or knowledge base contains incorrect, misleading, or harmful information, Agni is not responsible for the consequences. You are responsible for the accuracy of all content you configure.
Regulatory note: TRAI and other regulators may require disclosure that a call is AI-generated. You are responsible for configuring your AI agent to make such disclosures when required. Agni provides disclosure configuration tools, but ultimate compliance responsibility rests with you.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If you have a billing concern, you must contact us at info@ravan.ai before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. We will make every effort to resolve the dispute fairly within 7 business days.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us constitutes a material breach of these Terms and will result in immediate account suspension, termination of all active AI agents and campaigns, and may result in permanent ban from the platform. Fraudulent or bad-faith chargebacks will be disputed with full documentation and may be reported to relevant authorities.
- Any amounts successfully recovered by us in chargeback disputes will include any associated bank fees and legal costs
- Accounts with pending chargebacks may have all data exports suspended until the dispute is resolved
- Subscription fees legitimately disputed should be raised with us directly per our Refund Policy
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any applicable Order Form or Master Service Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ravan Technologies Private Limited with respect to the Agni platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings — whether written or oral — relating to the subject matter hereof. No sales representative, employee, or agent of ours has the authority to make representations or promises outside of what is written in these Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed from these Terms if modification is not possible, without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Waiver
No failure or delay by Ravan Technologies Private Limited in exercising any right, remedy, or privilege under these Terms shall constitute or be deemed a waiver of that right, remedy, or privilege. A waiver of any particular breach or default shall not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach or default of the same or any other provision.
Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, or sub-license any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in whole or in part to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, with notice to you.
No Third-Party Beneficiaries
These Terms do not create any rights for any third party. No third party shall have any right to enforce any provision of these Terms.
Notices
All legal notices to us under these Terms must be sent to info@ravan.ai with a descriptive subject line. Notices sent to your registered email address shall be deemed received by you. We are not responsible for notices sent to outdated email addresses if you have not updated your account details.
